Working with Blue Chip

Who is Ratul Kumar?

Ratul Kumar is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, licence R707731, and a member in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). He runs Blue Chip Immigration Solutions Inc. in Mississauga.

How do I check that a consultant is licensed?

Search their name or licence number on the CICC public register. Only licensed consultants, lawyers and Quebec notaries can charge for immigration advice. Ratul is listed under R707731.

Is Ratul a lawyer?

No. He is a licensed immigration consultant. The CICC licenses him to give immigration advice and to represent clients with IRCC.

Do I have to come to the office?

No. Our office is at 1185 Queensway E, Suite 7, Mississauga, but many clients work with us by phone, WhatsApp and video call, from anywhere in Canada or abroad.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. Your first consultation with Ratul is free.

How do I book a consultation?

Call (905) 699-1119, send a WhatsApp message to +1 905 699 1119, or email [email protected]. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Can you guarantee my application will be approved?

No. IRCC makes every decision, and anyone who promises approval is not being straight with you. What we can promise is a careful assessment, a complete file and quick answers to IRCC's requests.

Family and visits

Can I sponsor my spouse while they are in Canada?

Usually yes, by applying from inside Canada. Your spouse should keep valid status while you wait. Ask us before either of you travels.

Can I sponsor my parents right now?

Not right now. On 7 October 2026 IRCC was not accepting new parent and grandparent sponsorships. A super visa lets them stay up to five years at a time in the meantime.

What is the difference between a super visa and a visitor visa?

A visitor visa is for usual visits, often up to six months. A super visa is only for parents and grandparents, allows up to five years at a time, and has income and insurance rules.

My visitor visa was refused. What now?

Find out why first. The refusal letter is short, and the officer's notes often say more. Applying again with the same documents usually gets the same answer.

Study and work

Do I need a provincial attestation letter for a study permit?

Most new applicants do. Some, such as many school-level students, do not. We check this for you.

What is an LMIA?

It is a document from Service Canada that allows an employer to hire a foreign worker for a specific job. The employer applies for it.

Can my spouse work in Canada while I study or work?

Sometimes. It depends on your program or job, and the rules have changed in recent years. We check the current rules for your case.

Permanent residence and citizenship

How does Express Entry work?

You make an online profile and get a score. IRCC invites the highest scores to apply for permanent residence in regular draws.

What Express Entry score do I need?

There is no fixed score. The cut-off changes with every draw. IRCC posts the results on its rounds of invitations page.

What is a provincial nomination?

A province chooses you because you fit its needs. In the Express Entry route, the nomination adds a large number of points to your profile.

How many days do I need to keep my PR status?

At least 730 days in Canada in any five years. They do not need to be in a row.

When can I apply for citizenship?

When you have spent at least 1,095 days in Canada in the last five years, with at least 730 as a permanent resident, and you meet the tax, language and test rules.

Where do I find current fees and processing times?

On the IRCC website. They change often, so we do not list them here. Every service page links to the official page.
